Copyrighted text deleted
[edit]This article was reported to WP:CP as a copyright infringement of http://www.tv.com/paul-fusco/person/9059/biography.html . The URL has a huge © at the end of the biography, and it is clear the tv.com biography is copyrighted. However, on the log page, one editor claimed to be Luke Robbins, the author of the content in question, and 'gave permission' to use the text. No verification of this permission came to OTRS and no PD or GFD license appeared on tv.com, so I had to delete all versions back to October 2006.
Please do not add copyrighted material back into this article. It will be removed, and persistent violators can be blocked. Thanks. KrakatoaKatie 08:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- I've now restored it after an OTRS ticket. Stifle (talk) 13:21, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
POV Problem
[edit]This article may not longer infringe copyright, but it now reads very much like a fan site. MisterJayEm (talk) 00:26, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
agreed. a year later and it reads like his publicist wrote most of the entry. Ashburn247 (talk) 14:42, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Not sure that “an alien-looking puppet that was putzing around his house” is exactly encyclopædic language either… Jock123 (talk) 19:30, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
ALF Passed Away? / Possible Rumour
[edit]While pulling up images of Alf on Google, I came across a sort of eulogy at http://www.platypuscomix.net/hollywood/eulogyforalf.html, with the dating 1960-2009. However, only the character of Alf appears to be mentioned, as well as other recently passed celebrities. No actual person/performer in relation to Alf appears to be mentioned. Is there someone who can verify/deny this? Thank you for your assistance. Christopher, Salem, OR (talk) 11:33, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
I believe the passing away info you found is in reference to the actor that wore the ALF suit in the episodes that required it on the TV series. Not sure if it is true or rumor though. MJJ Spokane, WA — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.254.1.7 (talk) 19:47, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
